  1. Basic points for combinations

Each winning combination has its own value:

  • Pong (Triplet of three identical tiles): 4 points
  • Chow (Sequence of three tiles of the same suit): 2 points
  • Kong (Four identical tiles): 8 points
  • Pair (Two identical tiles): 2 points
  • Mahjong (Win): 10 points
  1. Extra points for special combinations

Some complex combinations bring additional bonuses:

  • Pure suit (all tiles of the same suit): +20 points
  • Big dragon (three dragons: red, green and white): +30 points
  • Small dragon (two dragons): +15 points
  • Seven pairs (seven pairs of identical tiles): +35 points
  • Serial Mahjong (winning in several rounds in a row): +25 points
  • Closed Mahjong (winning without using discarded tiles) tiles): +15 points
  1. Bonuses for actions in the game

Additional bonuses are awarded for strategic behavior of players:

  • First win in the game (win of the first player): +5 points
  • Instant Mahjong (win on the first move, if possible): +50 points
  • Finishing the game with the minimum number of discards (less than 3 tiles discarded): +10 points
  • Long move (win for the fastest move): +5 points
  • Detecting an opponent’s mistake (incorrect Mahjong): +10 points
  1. Penalty points

Some actions can lead to penalty points:

  • Missing Mahjong (if a player makes a mistake in declaring his victory): -15 points
  • Missing a mandatory move (not making a move within 30 seconds): -3 points
  • Missing a tile (discarding a tile that could have helped you win): -5 points
  • Violation of the game rules (e.g. incorrect use of tiles): -10 points
  1. Final scoring

At the end of the game, all points for combinations, bonuses and penalties are added up:

  • The player with the most points wins.
  • In case of a tie, the winner is the one who finished the game faster or has more complex combinations.
